Saturday Workshops

Inclusive youth theatre in Denbigh

Our Saturday morning Youth Theatre is designed for young people aged 7 to 16 interested in drama. Delivered by trained professional actors with lead West End Theatre and TV credits qualified to pass on up-to-date industry techniques in a fun, creative and nurturing environment, building confidence and self-esteem week by week.

We love our visits to professional theatres to see live theatre and often benefit from backstage tours with industry experts. In recent years we have visited Theatr Clwyd, Rhyl Pavilion and Floral Pavilion New Brighton.

We have secured £1000 a year of funding for the next three years, from the CFIW for 10 Young Carers from WCD to be fully funded to attend the workshop, as we believe access to drama widens horizons, builds resilience and should be available to all. 2021-24

With £3050 from Carers Respite Grant we can ensure our young carers get to experience the excitement of live theatre for the rest of the year. 2022

Awesome Autism

Inclusive Learning

In 2018 & 2019 we ran ten weeks of Awesome Autism workshops, enabling young people with Autism to access drama sessions, at Create A Smile in Towyn. These were fully funded by Denbighshire and Conwy County Councils.

The workshops helped participants to communicate more effectively, work as a team and express themselves in a safe environment. With two professional actors and two support workers numbers were minimized to allow one to one working and build trust and rapport.
